Christmas Break...

Overall, Christmas Break has been wonderful. Yes, Roen got sick and the bickering/fighting/pestering has been non-stop, but I just love having both boys at home. It has been amazing having a break from running kids back and forth from school, homework, routine, and just getting to be at home!

The boys have loved playing with all their new toys. With the cold weather that followed the stormy wet weather, it has been nice having so many new things to keep them entertained while indoors.

Remi has especially enjoyed his new Legos and ants. He got at least four new Lego kits and had them all put together in two days. He loves dumping them on his floor and working on them... all day long!

The ants are AWESOME. They live in a gel which is not only their home but their food. The gel came as a solid block in the clear case. We dumped the ants in their habitat right before Santa came and it has been AMAZING getting to watch them create their tunnels. The base of the tank lights up which makes watching them at night the most fun. One night, as Remi and I laid in bed watching them he said 'Mom, these ants are amazing... they are just so awesome'. He loves them and I have to say, I think Santa hit the jackpot with this little antfarm!

Here are the boys watching the rain, ants and Roen watching Remi build Legos...

In case you didn't know, Remi is extremely into anything Science related... this little science lab Lego set was one of his favorite gifts...

Here is poor RoRo not feeling well... but atleast he had Little and his dinosaur headlamp, lol.....

When we woke up to a thin layer of snow on the ground, I agreed to let the boys go outside for 5 minutes (Roen was still sick)... they didn't last 3 minutes before they came barreling through the back door asking for hot tea!

Santa seems to always bring the boys paints and little art projects :) This particular morning the boys went to the art room and painted. Remi put together/painted his new wooden monster truck and Reon watercolored a little canvas...

Remi's finished product. I LOVE these little Melissa and Doug kits!

We rang in the New Year with sparklers, games and fun with neighbors....

As you will see in these next pictures, the things the boys enjoy most are 'boy toys'... which means they are also the things Micah enjoys and gets to help with.

Shooting their new bows

Trying out their new lathe

Launching their new rocket

And Remi making wooden creations with his new tools and building kit (with a little help from Daddy and Roen)...

This break has been wonderful. I have loved being at home most of the time, BOTH boys running in and out of the house with friends, playing with new toys and there in no part of me that is ready for school to start back up!

Wow...y'all have been busy. It's amazing to see all the fun projects the boys have completed on their own and with y'all's help. Thanks for sharing the end of 2015! Happy Monday!!
