Deer Hunting...

Micah took the boys hunting two times over the Thanksgiving break. The first was an afternoon. They accidentally slept in and had to wait until after lunch to head out. They stopped at the Dairy Queen, got cokes and treats and then headed out to the middle of nowhere. They sat in the blind for two hours and though they never saw a deer, they came back with smiles on their faces.

Micah took them again the next morning in hopes of seeing something. Waking up early at dark, was something they thought was super exciting. After I saw them off, I went back to bed for a few hours and enjoyed the house to myself, knowing the boys were off doing one of their favorite things with the best dad in the world.

One of these days, they will be bring back a big one and I cannot wait!!

Goodness...could that last picture be any cuter? I love looking at these and trying to imagine what the conversation is while they are in the blind. It sure is wonderful that they get to spend time with their daddy......and momma gets some alone time! That always recharges the battery :) Happy Hunting boys! Love you all.
P.S. - I like the way Micah started their first hunt off with treats from DQ ....nothing better than two young boys on a sugar high! (hehehe)
