Basketball Ends...

This weekend, the boys had their very last basketball games of the season. It was a bit bittersweet because these were the last games Remi will ever play of rec league and with Micah as his coach. I know this group of boys are so ready to move on to the next level with school ball, but my mamma heart breaks a little as this chapter ends.

The boys had a full day on Saturday, with an end of the season tournament. Remi started off with an early game and a win. Roen played next with an absolute heartbreak of a loss. His team was sitting at #2 and should have been in the championship game. He lost to another Callisburg team and some of his best buds who went on to win it all. Remi's team lost in the championship game, also to some of his best buds and a Callisburg team. It was an intense and emotional day to say the least! Callisburg was well represented this season and I am proud of every single player and team!

Saturday, the boys had quite a crew cheering them on. My mom and aunt drove hours and hours just to watch the boys play, along with Pops, Gran, Shirley, Kyndall and Larry. I am always grateful for those who show up to support the boys!

Basketball will always be one of our favorites and we are really never ready for it to end! For the first time ever, since Remi was 3, the boys opted out of Spring baseball and are taking on golf full-time! We are all looking forward to days on the course, weekend tournaments, lots of pars, and as many birdies as they can get!

The years are just flying by…I can’t believe this was a wrap for Remi and Micah. It is definitely bittersweet. Thanks for the fun filled weekend. It was an absolute blast getting to watch the boys play basketball. Sure was proud of their hustle…and they both made their free throws! Free throws can win games. Although neither of them grabbed the championship they were in the stands cheering on their friends/ classmates. I’ve never seen a group of boys cheer like that crew did! Loud and proud…It was awesome 👏🏻 Kinda sad I won’t be watching them play baseball, but golf will be exciting. Someday I’d love to watch them swing their clubs. Thanks again for everything! Bring on spring break, warm weather and all the pars and birdies they can hit! Love y’all bunches! 😘
P.S…it was wonderful to see Micah’s family too! 🤗
