Celebrating 40...

On June 4th, Micah turned 40! He is the first of bunch to hit this milestone and most definitely the leader of our pack! 

When deciding on how he wanted to celebrate, he knew for sure that he wanted a trip with his closest peeps. He also knew he wanted a golf trip. He hopped around from idea to idea before finally deciding on Branson, Missouri to try his hand at playing the famous Paynes Valley course.

Because Branson is only 6 hours away, we decided to load up in the suburban and road trip it! We stopped at Pete's Place for some yummy Italian food, both on the way there and the way back! Brittney and I were stuck in the back with the shortest legs of the bunch, Tiz and Parker sat in the middle to keep everyone in line and Micah and Kyle headed everyone up in the front! We laughed, sang, read, napped and made so many fun memories before we even made it to Missouri!

None of us really knew what to expect, because Micah booked everything and really likes giving everyone a good surprise. I think he got his shock factor, because as we passed all these quaint little golf cottages, we kept looking for our number and at the very end of the road, stood the most beautiful, biggest cottage of all! We had our own little plunge pool, a massive putting green that overlooked Paynes Valley and we even had a full fridge waiting our arrival!

The inside of our cottage was most definitely one of my favorite parts of the entire trip! No detail was left forgotten, every wall hung with outdoor photos from lifetimes ago, every shelf housed vintage wonders, every fixture shined with nostalgic bulbs. The interior of our cottage had me walking around, finding treasure upon treasure, never quite feeling like I had seen it all, wanting to meet the person who decorated this cottage so magically reminiscent of yesteryear.
