Waking up in the mountains is it's own kind of magic! The boys were of course, all smiles at seeing Jingle and Jolly had joined us on our little mountain adventure, but nothing could top their excitement for getting on the slopes! So, they proceeded to scarf down breakfast as fast as they could because the mountains were calling their name!
Squeezing our ski trip in right before Christmas means we only get 2 full days of skiing, so we go hard! There is nothing better than that first little swish across the snow as we make our way over to the Homestake Express to embark on our first run of the day. We found all of our favorite snowflake adventure trails, and paid several visits to our favorite two runs, Last Chance and Dew Drop. We stopped for a quick lunch and then hit the slopes all afternoon until the lifts started closing. The boys are now beating us down the mountain every single time- they are fast and in much better shape than Micah and I!
After we turned in our skiis for evening, we headed over to Main Street for pizza and shopping! Roen has started his own little tradition of getting a toboggan at the Deer Valley store every year and popping into Dolly's Bookstore is a must on my list! Remi is always on the lookout for trinkets and Micah really only has one thing on his mind- food!
We ended the evening in the hot tub, with twinkling lights and snowy mountains as our nighttime view and everyone was in the very best of spirits as we said goodnight to our first day on the mountains!

Day one looks awesome!! So glad Jingle and Jolly were able to pop in and dang…they landed in some delicious snacks!! Or maybe they delivered those snacks!?! Seeing Remi in his pink face mask makes me giggle! Beautiful pictures!! The boys (all three) look very happy! Love Micah’s headgear in the hot tub 😂😂
