There really isn't anything better to kick off break than a magical mountain adventure! We started family ski trips way back, when the boys were just 5 and 6 years old. We have taken them all over the place, but our favorite to date is Utah, specifically Deer Valley. This was our 3rd visit and as you can see, the boys have grown so much since our first visit in 2020!
Our day of arrival always tends to look the same. First and foremost, stopping by the Stein Lodge restaurant for food and hot chocolate. The boys still get giddy over the snow, so there is always some snowball making on the walk over. I had requested a snowman, so once the boys finished eating they went out and built me a snowman while we finished our drinks. And when I say 'they' I really mean Remi. Roen didn't really do anything to help with the building besides throw snowballs at his brother and irritate him to no end. Once the room was ready, we had just a bit of down time before we headed out for ice skating followed by dinner at what has become a family favorite, Fuegos Bistro and Pizza.
We ended the night with a fire, that Remi let Roen have a few minutes at trying his hand at, before finally stepping in and taking over. I feel I have to mention that though we thought the damper was open, it was in fact closed, which resulted in us setting off the fire alarms and getting calls from the front desk. Remi was absolutely mortified, and felt Micah was most definitely at fault! I was tickled over the whole thing!

Definitely a fun way to start Winter Break!! It’s crazy to see the comparison pictures of the boys! They are growing up too fast! It’s so much fun to see what they get into and the Santa Beards this year is a favorite, as well as the cute snowman! The toboggan or beanie is so cute!! Geez, Remi gave Micah one job and he drops the ball! 😂😂 That ol damper!! Glad you all enjoyed the trip and thanks for sharing your pictures! When I think I might like it to snow, I just go back and look at these!! 🤗
