Tent Camping...

Immediately following Roen's giant birthday sleepover, as in the minute we got boys home, we loaded up and headed to Fobb Bottom at Lake Texoma!

We took 4 boys with us to meet up with their families for the weekend. We ended up setting up camp at a place only accessible by boat. This meant once we arrived, we had to transfer everything we would need- coolers of food, pillows, tents, bags, etc- to the boat. Also, if you have ever taken a boat out, you know that getting the boat on and off the trailer requires two people. If you know me at all, you know that is not something on my list of wifely duties. So, last summer, Micah taught Remi and has relied on him to be that other person. This honestly, makes me a nervous wreck because I sit back completely helpless, knowing in no way can I help, putting all my faith in my 11 year old!

Remi always tells me not to be nervous, that he knows exactly what he is doing, and he really does. He lowers the motor according to our depth, backs it off and then pulls around to the dock to pick Micah up. When putting the boat back on, he drops Micah off and somehow, perfectly pulls that boat back up on the trailer, knowing exactly how to turn the battery off and get the boat secure for the ride home. It's pretty cute to watch!

Now those are some happy campers…literally! I’m with you on the boat deal. The only help I could offer would be to pull the trailer out after unloading the boat. No backing required 😂😂. Pretty awesome that Remi has that task mastered. Great job. He is a focused learner. Glad y’all had fun. The question still remains….how many boat trips did it take to get your luggage over to campsite?? ðŸĪŠ
Thanks for sharing your adventures! Love y’all bunches!😘
