Seaside is a quaint slice of heaven that I have come to love and treasure dearly.
This was our second year now, that we were able to sneak away for some much needed rest and rejuvenation. It's not always easy to get everything line up and leave during the school year, but our trip falls during a busy time where we all need it desperately. This trip isn't about going and doing, non-stop. Our trips to Seaside are mostly about having a few days and nights without having to pack lunches, do laundry, pick out school clothes and the precious gift of no homework time!
This year, we got the kids to school and then left early that Friday morning. Upon arrival, we hopped in our jeep, made a quick stop at the Publix Grocery Store and then headed straight to our condo! Instead of staying at a house, we ended up reserving ourselves the most adorable condo right on the Seaside Town Square!
After checking out our home for the next few days, we unloaded our bags and groceries and headed across the street to Pickles. We actually did this last year too and I'm thinking it might need to be our 'arrival' tradition! We ordered margaritas, pimento cheese burgers, pimento cheese BLTs and sat at our favorite little spot, in front of the sidewalk windows, where we sat back, took in our first does of salty air and people watched. For me, this is when it always hits me, that we successfully got away!
After we ate, we took a peak at the Seaside blue-green waters, strolled the square, going in some of our favorite shops and then ended our night, watching our little Mayberry close down for the night from our balcony. Once we had on our comfies, we turned on Vampire Diaries, snuggled up on the couch, where we chit-chatted, did a bit of reading and just took a big ole load off! It truly is as perfect as it sounds and I savor every teeny tiny moment of this trip!

Yay! So glad y’all had a wonderful trip! Looks like two of y’all barely made it on the plane before crashing! 😂. Such a cute picture. And the passenger behind y’all was clearly exhausted too!! It’s beautiful there and you write the best review. Maybe some day I will check it out. Thanks so much for sharing this adventure. The pictures are awesome. Thankful for the guys (and whoever else) that keep the home fires burning while you girls rest and recharge! Love y’all bunches!
P.S. The last picture could be a postcard! ♥️
